Step 1
Price the job while they are still on the phone
Pick the job type, and the vehicle if it is a vehicle job. Keyway matches it against the parts you stock and gives you one number: your part's sell price, your labour rate for that job, your tax. No ranges, no calling them back.
Step 2
Put it on the calendar and track it
Book the job, or a pickup for the keys, against the ticket it belongs to. The schedule shows who is doing what, and the dashboard tells you which quotes are still waiting on a customer.
Step 3
Finish the job and the shelf updates itself
Complete the ticket and the parts you put on the job come off stock, as movements you can look back through. When a part crosses its reorder point, an alert opens and an email goes out.
Your catalog, not somebody else’s
Keyway does not ship a price book and it does not know what you paid. Every part, every cost and every sell price in your shop is yours, entered by you, visible only to you.
What it fits
A part carries the vehicles or the hardware it fits, which is what lets a quote find it.

Stock is tracked as movements, so you can look back at why a count changed rather than just what it is now.
When to reorder
Set a reorder point per part. Cross it and an alert opens and an email goes out. Keyway does not place the order for you.

You pick which of these your shop does during setup, and Keyway hides the fields that do not apply to you. A shop that never touches a car is never asked for a VIN.

- Check the column mapping. Keyway suggests it and you confirm it, every time — nothing is created until you do, and a spreadsheet Keyway cannot read is one it tells you about rather than half-imports.

Can another shop see my parts, my prices or my customers?
No. Every row in Keyway is tagged with your shop and the database itself refuses to return another shop's rows, not just the application code. The only thing shared between shops is a read-only list of vehicle makes and models.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. Every screen is built to work at 390 pixels wide, because that is where the work actually happens. There is no separate app to install.
Can I bring my existing parts list in?
Upload a CSV or paste from your spreadsheet. Keyway suggests how your columns map onto its fields and you confirm that mapping before anything is created. It will not silently import a column it guessed wrong.
Do I need a card for the trial?
Yes. The trial is 14 days and a card is required to start it. Nothing is charged until the trial ends, and you can cancel yourself from your billing settings before then.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
Cancel any time. You keep full access to the end of the period you have already paid for. There are no refunds for a period that has already started. After that, your shop becomes read only, and stays that way for 30 days. You can still open every screen and download every CSV export the whole time. After that, deletion is reviewed by a person rather than done automatically, so download anything you want to keep. The Terms page is the full policy.
Can I get my data back out?
Yes. Settings has a CSV export for your parts, customers, tickets, stock movements and vendors. It covers those five, it is not a full backup of everything in the account, and nobody has yet tested restoring a shop from one — the export page says all of that on the page itself.
